1791 diamonds designer gets inspiration back in UK
A recent trip back to the U.K. where she originally trained has been inspirational for 1791 diamonds designer Alice Herald.
Alice graduated from Central St Martin’s College of Art in Design with an Honours degree in jewellery, and the visit gave her a great opportunity to access the latest fashions and themes. Ancient love rings and renaissance designs using raw forms are the impetus behind a new line she has started working on since she returned, and 1791 diamonds is excited about another aspect of high quality, unique Engagement Rings and jewellery to offer customers.
Contemporary themes such as ‘fiction,’ a style recently worn on Lady Gaga were another style Alice was drawn to, along with ‘nouvelle vogue’ which sources film noir for inspiration. Alice has lived by the lakes and mountain in New Zealand’s Southern Alps for the last few years since immigrating with her husband, so a trip back to the bright lights of London and the fast moving world of fashion was an exciting time for her.
Since returning home to Lake Hawea, she’s had a busy schedule drafting up her new creations, as well as spending time with her young daughter and husband. With snow on the hills now, she will also be volunteering her time with the disabled skiing program run at her local mountain, Cardrona.
