Lily Allen Manicure With An Engagement Ring – But Don’t Tell the Date?

She is quoted as saying: A girl can’t do Manhattan sans manicure’ with an image of a freshly pampered hand . But I don’t know many beauty salons that add diamond engagement rings as a service! Llly Allen self captioned photo on her blog is not the first time the singer has fronted in public with engagement rings being bandied about.

Back in 2009 the singer was snapped with what appeared to be a diamond-studded band and an antique gem on the fourth finger of her left hand after a Caribbean holiday with her then boyfriend, multi-millionaire art dealer Jay Jopling, who was 20 years her senior.

Since then though she has enjoyed a more permanent relationship with boyfriend Sam Cooper who, rumour has it, popped the question on Christmas day while on holiday in Bali!

The wedding itself is clearly a more sensitive subject than engagement rings though. One un-named recipient of a ‘save the date’ card showing their two faces pasted onto a photo of couple on a tractor spilled the beans on the June 11 Gloucester wedding. Lily promptly tweeted an ‘un –invite’ saying that that the blabbermouth guest was a ‘d***’ and should stay at home!

For the record though, after viewing the ‘manicure plus bling’, solitaire diamond engagement rings are still a favourite in the entertainment world.
