Welsh Wedding Tipped after Sighting of Engagement Ring?

Welsh singing superstar Katharine Jenkins is reportedly ‘over the moon’ after news broke of her engagement to TV presenter Gethin Jones.

The mezzo-soprano who recently made the short list of UK’s most wealthy female performers apparently couldn’t stop beaming as she showed off one of the season’s most stylish diamond engagement rings, a 10,000 quid rock that Jones presented to her while on holiday in Mexico recently. Wedding bells have been on the horizon for the classical-popular crossover singer since here and Jones, a former Blue Peter presenter, bought a 4.7 million pound house in Richmond last year.

Jones, 32, is also Welsh and who was once voted Bachelor of the Year by Company magazine apparently did go down on bended knee to pop the question. The couple have been close since they met on the show Strictly Come Dancing and are definitely planning to marry in Wales. Known for their privacy, the wedding details will remain a secret for now.

Jones also opted for the more traditional type of diamond engagement rings, a brilliant cut solitaire diamond held by four claws on a simple gold band made of Welsh gold. The classical design for an engagement ring is unlikely to go out of fashion and has reversed a recent trend of cluster diamond rings
